Severe weather possible Tuesday evening

Strong to severe storms will be possible across much of central Illinois late this evening and tonight. The highest risk for Champaign-Urbana will be between 7 PM and 11 PM tonight as isolated severe storms track down the Interstate 72 corridor. Large hail will be the primary threat, though isolated tornadoes are also possible with the strongest storms. The highest tornado threat appears to be along a Jacksonville to Springfield to Decatur to Champaign line, but areas around Peoria and Bloomington will also need to remain alert late this evening.
