Snow tapers off mid-day, and arctic freeze arrives tomorrow.

As of 8 AM the last band of heavy snow is currently moving through Champaign-Urbana. Another inch of accumulation or so is possible this morning. Flurries will taper off during the early afternoon, but clouds will remain in the area through the overnight. On Sunday, the next blast of cold arctic air arrives in the region which will be sending temperatures back below zero to start the week.

Road conditions look pretty rough this morning. Make sure you keep an eye on the IDOT map below if you've got travel plans this weekend.
