Snow begins falling this afternoon, becoming heavy at times tonight into Sunday. Winter storm conditions will peak during the day Sunday, with total snow accumulation of 4 to 8 inches is expected across Champaign County. Additionally, northeast winds gusting 20-25 mph will lead to blowing snow, reduced visibility and hazardous travel in open, rural areas through Sunday night.
